Gosh here’s another retrospective Gen Xers. It’s the intro from HR Puff n Stuff and sadly one of two songs (the other is Rhinestone Cowboy) that I know all the lyrics to.
OK, so if you’ve forgotten here’s the basic premise to Puff n Stuff. Puff n Stuff is a big fat puppet who looks after Jimmy (human not puppet) who was lured to Living Island by Witchie Poo so she could steal Freddy, Jimmy’s golden flute. Freddy the flute actually personified the nagging wife. There were times when I wanted to leap through the TV and give the whinging, whining bloody golden flute to Witchie Poo.
Did you know that the actor who played Jimmy, Jack Wild was actually the role model for all those kids off Diff’rent Strokes who went bad? He was the original Lindsay Lohan. Sad isn’t it. Died a few years back. Had oral cancer from drinking and smoking. That’s what Michael Douglas has. Also sad.
