Carrie marrying Big spoiled the first Sex and the City movie for me. What was she thinking? He left her at the altar. On life changing stress ladders that’s got to be right up near the top and don’t even get started on the public humiliation.
I don’t like Big. Didn’t like him on Law and Order, want to smack his smug face on The Good Wife and now he’s back, chatting up Penelope Cruz (and ask Nicole Kidman how that one worked out for her) on Sex and the City 2.
But there is a ray of hope in the second movie, and that is the return of the lovely Aiden. What a man. He builds things, he likes dogs, he likes Steve, he put up with all sorts of shit from Carrie and then he put his foot down and that stupid woman walked away for a custom fit wardrobe. If I were him I give Carrie a good seeing too and then walk off into the desert sunset, letting her sort out the shitstorm (ode to Kevin Rudd) that follows.
By the way did you know that Aiden the real person (John Corbett) is in a relationship with Beau Derek? That’s one for Saturday’s trivia night down at the local, isn’t it?
Anyway I digress. I’ve got the trailer for the second SATC movie for you. It’s set in Abu Dhabi and I’m predicting big things for their tourism market after this. I’m also predicting that Charlotte’s hideous hot pink peplum suit and white shoes are an 80’s trend that will never be resurrected.
